Good morning, Claudio & Emiliana,

Thank you again for your hospitality during my stay at Seabreeze Villa. The house was perfect with an unbelievable view! I spent a lot of time in the hammock on the upstairs balcony reading and watching cruise ships pass, and at night seeing millions of stars that I don't normally get to see in the bright city lights of Dallas The nicest part of my stay is the 24 hour security that is provided in the neighborhood. I felt VERY secure during my month long stay which was important since I was staying ALONE for 2 weeks of that month (especially being a young(ish), blonde, female American). Because I was a little leary of staying alone for 2 weeks (so I can identify with anyone concerned with security issues), I can't emphasize enough how safe I felt during my stay. That being said, of course I exercised common sense as I do anywhere (locking doors, not going out alone at night, etc.).

Despite the news reports regarding Honduras and the ongoing political situation, Roatan is a very peaceful, tranquil island paradise, and I did not have one single problem the entire month anywhere on the island (and I went from one end to the other). I would highly recommend Roatan to anyone needing a break from reality and a peaceful escape. It is a shame if anyone lets the media influence their decision not to visit. My best friend that swore for years that she would never come to Roatan because of its association with Honduras from the 80's, came for a week with me this month and fell in love. Her perception was totally changed and she cannot wait to come back. Goes to show you cannot believe everything you hear on the news.

Again, Seabreeze was absolutely perfect for me and the guests that joined me during my last 2 weeks of my month long stay. I will be coming down again in the next few months to get my Scuba Instructor Certification with Mayan Divers and am already looking forward to staying at Seabreeze Villa again. It was convenient walking distance to everything in West Bay, but also a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle and thumping of music at the beach at the end of the day. I have been coming to Roatan for about 5 years now, and this was by far my best choice in accomodation.

I would also recommend Mayan Divers for anyone wanting to dive. They are hands down the most professional dive shop on the island. Very small groups with nice boats and excellent, fun dive masters/instructors that give very personal attention. I don't think we ever had more than 6 or 7 people on the boat the entire month I was there. FYI, Roatan is an ideal setting to get certified if you are thinking about becoming a diver.

Dear Claudio and Emiliana,

I have been away from Roatan for 2 weeks now, and I miss it so much. I cannot thank you enough for your hospitality during our stay there.

It still amazes me that I had any hesitation about traveling to Roatan (thanks to the US media mess)! In all of my travels throughout the Caribbean, I have never felt as safe as I did during my stay on Roatan. The people there are truly kind, and I did not feel any sense of threat related to the current political situation. I am ashamed of myself for even worrying about these things in the first place. I'm trying to find a way of getting the word out that Roatan is indeed a very beautiful, unspoiled, and SAFE island to vacation. I have told all of my friends about my wonderful vacation I will no doubt be returning to your island in the near future, and I look forward to seeing you both again!

Dear Claudio and Emiliana,

Thank you so much for our wonderful time in Roatan. Our group consisting of seven nurses from University of Cincinnati (Ohio) spent two weeks in western Honduras working in clinics with Shoulder-to-Shoulder, a non-profit working with Hombro a Hombro to help improve children's health and nutrition in rural Honduras. It was absolutely a delightful treat to spend a week of peaceful relaxation at Tropical Sunrise on Roatan. The location is perfect for resting and restoring the body and soul.

From the moment we arrived on the ferry we enjoyed wonderful hospitality from Ron and other local islanders. The view from the house was spectacular, we had a lovely ocean breeze to keep us cool, and we all enjoyed afternoon naps on the hammocks.

We spent much time on the beautiful beach, snorkeling, meeting new friends from across the globe, and enjoying some of the local establishments. We enjoyed lunch at Celeste's a couple times, and had a wonderful dinner in West End at Half-Moon Bay. We also had a lot of fun at the Blue Marlin, enjoying their comfy conversation pit ocean-side.

Many thanks again for providing a wonderful house for our much needed vacation! We are sharing our pictures and stories with friends and families, and hope to return to your beautiful island for future vacations.

Greetings Claudio & Emiliana,

What a fabulous get away my wife and I experienced in Roatan Honduras a few weeks ago (July 7 through the 11th of 09'. We rented the Island Breeze Villa on the beautiful West Bay Iron Shore for our 32nd wedding anniversary. The beauty, privacy, security on the grounds and the good humor of the Honduran people and ex pats as well as vacationers from around the globe made for a very pleasant week. We had been concerned about how the political tension in the country might be playing out both in Honduras and in Roatan especially. Roatan actually felt a world away from the issues on the mainland, everyone carrying on with business as usual. The Carnival ships were coming to port, the U.S. Airlines were coming in and out and we were able to explore the island from all angles by rental vehicle as well as motor scooters. Visiting a different beach resort restaurant and eateries in West End and West Bay were alot of fun. Snorkeling was exhilarating as we simply walked 20 ft. into the white sand beach and began exploring the sea bottom and all the beautiful creatures at ones finger tips. We had such a fabulous time we brought a team of medical Drs. and assistants the next week after a week of work in San Pedro Sula area of Honduras. Even there, while there were a few demonstrations happening on a main route or two during our time there, these were peaceful and didn't hinder us one bit. In regards to the Bay Islands of Honduras and our movement there and in the airport we had no problems or hassles or inconveniences whatsoever. Enjoyed getting to meet many N. Americans with businesses they have established on the beach in and around the resorts and hotels such as coffee shops, delis, rental businesses and curio shops. What a wonderful place! we're making plans to return by this time next year for sure. Thank you Claudio and Emiliana for assisting us in finding the lovely villa with the semi private pool and grounds which were so well kept and manicured and secure as well for our very special celebration.

Claudio & Emiliana Miconi,

I would personally like to thank you for my amazing experience at your rental property in West Bay, Roatan. The views were breathtaking, the accommodations comfortable, and the island beautiful as always. The ten minute walk to the beach was close enough for daily beach visits but far enough to allow for relaxation and privacy if that is what you desire. You were both very kind and hospitable hosts as well, which made the experience that much more pleasurable. I just returned to the States several days ago and I am longing to return already. I realize for a lot of people, now seems like an inopportune time to travel to Roatan and Honduras due to the political situation but I would like to say that simply is not so. I have been volunteering on the mainland in Honduras since November of 2008, and I was there for the coup and will be returning in two weeks once my vacation in the States is over. I can honestly say that I have never felt any effects of the coup on the mainland and especially not the island. Roatan is so separate from Honduras in my eyes that it is almost like another Country. The people there are extremely kind and a delight to be around. Now is as good of a time as any to plan a vacation in Roatan.

We want to say a huge thank you for your incredible thoughtfulness . Our honeymoon was everything we could have asked for and more. We were so touched by your very personal service meeting us at the house the afternoon we arrived. We felt so welcomed and immediately at peace in our new home for the week. The little touches meant so much- your friendly smiles, the flowers on the tables and in the bedroom, and how well cared for and clean the house was. The deck was such an amazing place to rest and relax together. We loved having so many options of places to sit or eat there. Rony and Sonia were wonderful. They took such good care of the house and garden. We really can't stop telling our family and friends how much we felt like the luckiest honeymooners in the world to have found you, your house, and such an amazing beach on the internet!
